I’ve never really tried much of Etude House’s skincare line, but I’m glad I got to try this line. It’s pretty affordable and suitable for every skin type, it is also targetted for sensitive skin.
So, I have tried and have every product in the line except the sleeping mask. So I’ll review all of them except the sleeping mask~
pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser
This was one of the first things, I tried. To be honest, right off the bat, I didn’t really like it. I thought it made my skin dry and uncomfortable. Maybe I used too much? But after giving it a second chance, it actually doesn’t dry out my skin and it’s actually an alright cleanser. This time I used 1 and a half pumps. I’m not really a fan of super foamy bubble cleansers, I think, so this isn’t just for me.
However, my skin does feel clean and not dry. I would consider repurchasing this if I had no choice but it’s not something I would gravitate to.
pH 5.5 Relief Toner
This is my favourite product in this whole line. It’s a light toner that is perfect to use with the 7 step method. It’s moisturising and helps immediately to moisturise my skin right after washing my face. And since they are so affordable, I don’t feel stingy with using it (haha). It doesn’t irritate my face in any way or break me out and it doesn’t feel like it’s too much even after layering.
I would definitely repurchase this product, I actually already have it in stock in my room. Would recommend to any skin type! I think this is great.
10-Free Moist Emulsion
I didn’t think I would like this product as much as I do. I usually use a serum instead of an emulsion so I don’t really have much experience with them. But I do really love using this after my toner, it really helps provide moisture back into my skin. It feels lightweight and can quickly absorb into the skin. The scent kind of smells like normal lotion but I don’t really mind. Would definitely repurchase and recommend to any skin types!
2x Barrier Intensive Cream
This is a thicker cream compared to the emulsion. I believe it may actually be a moisturiser. The squeeze bottle I thought was really innovative because you need to twist it for it to unlock for the product to come out.
So if you’re travelling about and sat on this moisturiser, it would just squeeze everywhere since there is a lock! The consistency of this is not a very thick cream but it isn’t very gel like either so it’s somewhere of a lighter feeling cream. It doesnt feel sticky at all and I think it’s decent. There’s nothing too special about it but it does not irritate any part of face at all.
Moist Relief All In One Gel
The moist relief all in one gel is definitely a mouthful to say. But I enjoy using this product with my foundations and it is the only thing I use it for. It’s a big bottle so it’ll last me a long time but the moisturisation level is just okay. I don’t think I’ll use this as a moisturiser because gels are a bit too light for me. It mixes a bit weird at first but after a while of mixing with my foundation, it blends easily. My semi-matte foundation was more moisturising and doesn’t cause it to be patchy. I don’t know if it affects the coverage since the foundation I use is pretty sheer already and I don’t need so much coverage. But if you have dehydrated/ drier skin, I would definitely recommend it!
5-Panthensoside Cica Balm
This balm is great for calming irritations. I sometimes get bad irritations around my lips (especially upper) due to my allergic reaction to tomatoes and I suspect I have eczema on my lips. I still enjoy eating them from time to time even though I know I will suffer a bit. The skin around my upper lip will start to flake and be red and irritated. This soothes it down and calms the redness and irritation. It also helps moisturise it so I’d actually recommend this to anyone who has super sensitive skin and needs help with calming, soothing, and moisturising the skin.
Mild Defence Sun Cream
Sunscreen is one thing I use every day when I leave my house. This sunscreen does not irritate my skin in any way nor does it have those alcoholic scenes and dries out the skin. Some people have said that it feels really thick and heavy more so like a cream and I have to agree, it does feel a lot thicker than the liquid gel ones so if you don’t like that feeling I don’t think this is for you. But I really don’t mind it because I’m already used to thicker creams and don’t have an issue with it. I don’t really think it feels particularly sticky but the white cast is pretty bad, it goes away after a while but it makes me a lot paler and it bothers me a little.
All in all, I actually quite like the sunscreen but its white cast can be an issue.
Verdict: 9/10
In all honesty, these products are pretty affordable and of good quality. It’s nothing way too expensive that I wouldn’t buy and I think it’ll be one of those that I would go back to purchase if I’m not thinking about trying new things. I also think it’s a great beginner skincare line to start suitable for basically every skin type.

Hmm I think my 2x barrier cream has the old packaging cause I don’t have that function!!
