I’m an Althea Angel & Real Fresh Skin Detoxer Review

I’m excited to announce that I am part of the Althea Angel team!

What is the Althea Angels you ask? Well, we’re basically Althea’s beauty ambassadors. I am so happy to be working with them as they provide such great services and creative boxes which I honestly love collecting them. So look forward to me working with them more!

If you don’t know Althea, well you’ve been missing out! They are an online website that sells Korean cosmetics and ships worldwide. They also offer amazing deals for their products and have interesting events often.

They also have their own line of skincare line which is amazing, I’ve also made a review about it~

You can find them right here:

Website: http://althea.kr/
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/altheakorea/
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/altheamalaysia/?brand_redir=1491281324498628

I got some exciting goodies from them, including their 3rd birthday tote bag, an exclusive makeup bag and mirror. The tote bag is actually amazing because not only is it cute, it has a really good quality (not like those cheap feeling ones) and has a great size! I could fit a lot of things in there and it sits on my shoulder comfortably and nicely.

So if you want one for yourself, do shop at Althea, and you could get one if you spent above RM150! Moreover you can also get 10% off all your orders until 30th September 2018 using the code ALTHEATURNS3.

Another surprise they have is that they have new products! WHAT? I was really shocked too, they just dropped their skincare line now there are more? Talk about grinding. So these two are skin detoxer masks which only takes 10 seconds. You heard me right, so if you’re a lazy bum bum or just need a quick daily face fix, this would be amazing!

These products were a collaboration between Althea and Get It Beauty which is Korea’s no. 1 beauty TV show that shows trends and informative videos regarding beauty. How exciting!

Thinking of getting it but don’t know if it’s worth it? Don’t worry, I gotchu. So here’s my review.

Real Fresh Skin Detoxer: Rose

This is a morning mask, this product helps with potect and balance pH levels of our skin, and even it out for a better makeup application. The coolest thing about this is that the product contains real hand picked May rose petals that are from southern France! Roses also help with improving blood circulation that helps it looking plump and fresh~

The masks definitely smelly strong of roses which is really relaxing, I quite like it. The texture of the product feels rich and sort of oily but I think it’s normal for a rose mask like this (I have experience from one I tried from Innisfree). I personally think it doesn’t feel that nice on the skin when you put it on because to me it sort of feels like a thick oily gel buttering my face up but it’s definitely worth it! It also feels pretty lightweight and spreads easily onto the skin.

Also, I felt a slight stinging when I used it the first couple of times. There are frangrances added into the list, but nothing I can’t handle. So if your skin is really sensitive, do take note.

After using it, my skin not only smells great (some rose scent still lingering around), my skin feel pretty soft and smooth like baby’s buttocks. I can’t get over how this just happened in 10 seconds, it kind of feels like a miracle. I’ve been using this for a while now and I do notice that my skin feels more soft and smooth that it was before. But I use it every other day, I don’t really think I’m up for it everyday.

With that being said it’s because I feel that after using it, my skin also feels quite dry and I could feel like my skin feels a little tuggy, so I would immediately move on with my toner to get that hydration back. Despite this fallback, my skin still really does feel soft and smooth. It also has some great ingredients such as Beta-glucan which I have came across before, it is said to be a moisturising ingredient. Maybe that’s how it makes the skin softer but I don’t really understand why my skin feels a little tight after using..

Real Fresh Skin Detoxer: Green Tea

The night mask: helps calm down and boosts skin regeneration as this is the time where cell regeneration is most active. The green tea found in this product is from Jeju, and on top of that they’re using the softest baby green tea leaves. Woah. These leaves were collected during spring which means that it has so much vitamin C packed in it (even more than a lemon), it could help protect your skin from UV rays.

I did not feel anti stinging whatsoever for this product, but again, this does contain fragrance as well.

The smell of this has a hint of green tea. The texture of it is more gel like and the tea leaves you could actually feel more so it could kind of act as an exfoliator but not too much that you could completely replace one with this. This also applies really easily and smoothly onto the skin. Also feels more comfortable sitting on the skin (my preference cause I don’t like how the rose one feel).

After using this product, my skin feels cleaner, y’know what I mean? I feel like it had a deeper cleanse and my skin does feel a little bit softer and smoother but not as much as the effect of the rose mask gave. I think this mask is good for if when you’re feeling your skin is a little dull and clogged, and you want to have it have a deep cleanse.

Similar to the rose mask, this one also contains some great ingredients for moisturisation (it also has Beta-Glucan) and some ingredients great for oily skin such as Camellia Sinensis Leaf Powder that soothes the skin. However, similarly to the rose mask, my skin also feels a little dry after using this product. So again, I would also recommend not using it daily for the dry skin club members.

For both these products, this is how you use them:

Treat it like a gentle mask pack for your skin. It’s super simple!

  1. Strip off any makeup left and let your skin dry.
  2. Apply a generous layer of the Real Fresh Skin Detoxer to your face and let it sit for 10 seconds.
  3. Wet your palms and gently massage your face. The water from your palms will mix with the product and cause it to bubble up a little like a facial cleanser.
  4. Rinse it off with water before completing the rest of your skincare routine.

!! Althea is also now having a deal where you could get two for the price of one, so it’s essentially buy 1 get the other FREE! I forgot to mention buy they are both 150mls each (which is plenty) and retail for RM 86 (USD 21). So two for this price is honestly a steal so get them while you can alongside their limited 3th birthday box & totebag!

Remember you can also get 10% off all your orders until 30th September 2018 using the code ALTHEATURNS3.

Verdict: 8/10

Overall, I think they are pretty good products, because they’re so easy to use and take up so little time in your routine so it’s fairly easy to incorporate. It makes the skin more softer and However if you have dry skin/ combination skin, you might not want to use this everyday as suggested, every other day like me is fine or maybe even 3 times a week. They both do make my skin feel a little tight. The main “bad” ingredient was the fragrance which I personally don’t mind. I would say a solid mask, and generally suitable for all skin types!

I’d like to thank Althea and their team, especially Tammy for making this all happen and of course you because without any readers, I wouldn’t be able to be here. Let me know if you’d be getting these two masks!

FTC – The product(s) mentioned was sent to me. All opinions and thoughts I made are truthful and based on my personal experiences, none of my opinions is influenced by anything else. I am not paid to write this.
