I’m back at it again with another review! This time about a toner and a moisturiser.

Hello, friends!

Today I’m going to be giving a review on a Korean brand’s product, it is by Vivisure and you can find their website here. I have received a couple of their products and I’ve given myself some time to test them out. I feel like it’s a little overtime, but I’m here with my review!

There is a total of 150 ml for the Hibis toner that retails for about RM 101 (USD 25), and the Hibis Cream (70g) costs about RM 131 (USD 30). I honestly feel that the cream can definitely last me a long time, despite using it everyday. You can also get them at a cheaper price if you buy them both together at RM 217 (USD 50), you can buy them here. Now, let me introduce you to the product!

ABOUT

So the Hibis Toner and cream both contain the Hibiscus flower in it, which by the way, I have to point out is the national flower of Malaysia! The main property of the products is to moisturise the skin (for me).

Apparently, this product is aimed for people who have oily, stressed, dark, wrinkly, and has pore problems. My skin is combination and sensitive, but overall more on the dry side, I also have a pore problem. Overall, I could say this works for me well even though it is catergorised for those skin types. I use it as a moisturiser.

Apparently, it is said to be able to increase the skin’s moisture up to 3 times. As I have extremely dry skin around my chin and neck region this would be a great product for me. Below is a little bit more about what the products are said to be able to do to your skin.

I will get on with what I think of it below, but for now, let’s look at the ingredients!

INGREDIENTS

This is the list of ingredients for the Hibis Toner:

And this is the list of ingredients for the Hibis Cream:

The two products has also been certified by the Korean Ministry of Food, Drug Safety, and IOS that it has skin brightening and wrinkle reduction properties. The ingredients also shows a lot of different floral and fruit extract being used; however, obviously not all natural.

HOW IT IS USED

How it is used is pretty straight forward. I won’t really get into much detail about it. But since, Vivisure’s pamphlet has already provided the steps on how the products should be used, I’ll just attach it below!

HIBIS TONER:

It would be best to use a cotton pad instead of your hands as the cotton would help gently exfoliate your skin a little, this would help remove some dead skin.

HIBI CREAM:

A great tip using this for oily skin is that you use it before you put your base makeup on by gentle patting it onto your face. It will help control sebum that will make your face less oily!

REVIEW

So now, we’re getting into the part where everyone is usually most excited for! Let’s jump right into it!

First, let’s talk about the toner.

screen-shot-2016-12-19-at-23-42-20

The packaging of the box is absolutely adorable, I like that it’s very inviting and has a lot of tropical colours. The bottle, on the other hand, is made of glass. It feels heavy and really luxurious. I really like the feel of the bottle as it is also kind of matte. I like stroking it, haha. It also comes with a silver cap.

It has a lovely floral scent, that I really enjoy actually. When pouring out the product, the bottle itself have a control so you won’t accidentally pour out too much product. This is one feature I like, because due to past experiences, I always end up using too much product which lead me to always put my toner in a spray bottle. Since this one I have no problem with, I’m fine with that.

My skin definitely feels more moisturised after using this product. I do not notice my skin getting brighter when using the product too, maybe it’s because I don’t use all that much of product but just enough to wipe my face with it. I don’t know. But it does make my face feeling refreshed. I honestly would say it works just as well as other toners, but this one smells really good and the packaging is so exclusive!

Next, we’re moving on with the Hibis Cream.

This product honestly stole the show! I absolutely fell in love with it! Unfortunately, upon receiving, a good amount product leaked out, most probably due to the lid not being closed tight enough. ☹️ I was a little upset, but that’s still alright. The packaging is the same as the toner, really tropical colours, and also comes in a heavy glass container. I really like it! It also comes with a spatula that made me really happy because you can never have too many spatulas!

The scent of the product is also just the same as the toner, this one I can really smell the Hibiscus, which is really nice. For those who do not enjoy scented products, that’s still alright. To me, the scent isn’t overpowering and it is still pretty mild. So, you’re good! The texture of the product is cool and gel like, it gilds on the skin very easily, and it is also is translucent.

The effects of the product are immediately, my face absolutely feels so moisturised after it is used. I absolutely love this as not many products help with my dry skin areas. The product also gets moisturised into my skin pretty quickly and it isn’t at all sticky or makes my skin feels like there is a layer on top of it so I really do enjoy the product. So, all in all, my skin definitely feels soft and really moisturised, and that’s what I liked most about this product. For brightening effects, on the other hand, you won’t be able to see any results from using the product just a few times. But after used for a good amount of time (about a week or two), there is a difference in the colouration to my skin. It seems to me a little

For brightening effects, on the other hand, you won’t be able to see any results from using the product just a few times. But after used for a good amount of time (about a week or two), there is a difference in the colouration to my skin. It seems to me a little brighter and alive. However, with these two being said, I don’t really see any changes with my pores, it doesn’t seem to make it smaller, but it does not seem to make my pores worse. I’m not able to comment on how it works on oily skin, as mine isn’t that oily most of the time.

VERDICT: BUY! Toner (7/10); Cream (9/10)

Overall, the toner seemed to be pretty much standard and the same as other toners, but the packaging and scent are definitely a win here. The cream, on the other hand, is amazing, I love it so much. It moisturises my face really nicely and makes it really smooth. I would recommend the product if you have dry or combination skin! Since this product is also recommended for dry skin, I’d say it’s suitable for all skin types. It would be for those who also start to have some wrinkles and have duller skin. This for sure, I would put it in my repurchase zone. Special thanks to Vivisure once again for sending me these products to try out, I definitely had a great experience with them.

FTC – The products mentioned were sent to me. All opinions and thoughts I made are truthful and based on my personal experiences, none of my opinions is influenced by anything else.

What do you think of this product? Do you have any favourite moisturisers that you can recommend me? What’s your everyday moisturiser? Let me know!

See you in the next one~ Bye!

Cheers,
Sylvia

Hi. This is a pretty late comment but may I ask how did you get the products? The website is in Korean and I can barely navigate around it. I tried signing up but ofc, not living in Korea, I can’t fill out the address nor the phone number which is a required field on their sign up form.

Oh, did they sponsor you for the review? :O
I have tried out the samples and I love the toner rather than the Hibis cream. We are total opposites! The Hibis cream caused my sunscreen to pill, I’m not very sure but I would have to try it out more. I used the Cera Better cream more than the Hibis toner 🙂

No the post isn’t sponsored but they did sent me the products. (:
I see! The Cera better one is a little too heavy duty sometimes. Glad you love their products too tho!
