July is the month where Sephora Malaysia had their birthday, and I manage to snag an invite!
Upon reaching and registering at the counter for the party, they gave my date and I an RM50 voucher each to spend in Sephora, which is amazing. Thank you, Sephora MY! Haha. With that being said, since my date was my boyfriend, I got to keep his voucher too. 😉
After we registered, we were to wait in line for a bag scan before going in. Immediately, these big boards caught my attention. They were signed with lipsticks, all wishes for Sephora MY on their birthday. I blinked in the picture but it was the only one I had, oh well. Plus, my birthday wish is right down at the bottom left (the big purple one haha).
So, when we finally got into the party area. We were greeted by this huge Sephora sign. So, of course, I had to get another picture again. I really thought the sign was super cute!
Fun fact: Sephora was originated from France 🇫🇷, and they made the Sephora words according to the colour of the French flag. Super creative! 😀 Plus, they also featured Malaysia 🇲🇾 in it, making the ‘H’ into the shape of our Petronas twin towers (one of the many tallest towers in the world 🌏)
Going past the large Sephora sign, immediately on my left was this “photobooth”, or should I say videobooth. We were allowed to shoot a video that the Sephora team would edit and email it to us. I have mine posted on Instagram, so if you’re interested in checking out the final product, go look up my Insta! @aivlyz (< click it! It’s also on the sidebar too if you’re on a laptop)
But, because I’m a little cheeky, I’m going to show you a little behind the scenes picture. Haha. 😜
Food, sweets, and beverages were also served. The food came on spoons. So basically, as you walk along the EAT area, you pick up a spoon, eat it and put it aside. I particularly like the kebabs they served and the mini pies with mashed potato frosting. Yum.
There was also a makeup bar! Since the KatVonD beauty line just recently launched in Malaysia, it got featured at the party. A whole set of makeup products were on display and some Sephora makeup artists were there to assist and sample the makeup. That was pretty cool.
Entertainment was also a blast! The highlight of the party was the appearance of the band- Karmin, which flew all the way from the USA just to perform for us! We rocked along to some of their original songs and covers. I have to say, they were good. 👍🏼👌🏼 You should check them out, I’ll link their new album preview right here.
Here are some pictures of Zac and I, with Sephora’s signature black and white stripes. We thought it would be a cool background to take pictures at.
Have you been to an event like this? Or maybe a Sephora party in your country? I’d like to know!
Hope you’re having a great weekend! 💖
