Food Hunt: Nana’s Green Tea

Green tea flavoured foods are literally my favourite thing ever! So much that I had to share this place with you guys.

Hello cutiepies!

Nana’s Green Tea hands down provides the best green tea drinks and desserts I have ever tried. I am in love with their green tea parfaits, especially the one with a little green tea cake on it! From what I know, they’re a branch originally from Japan and apparently have most of their ingredients imported from there. I’m not entirely sure about that, but, the food is still amazing!

If any of you are in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (or well visiting there), I would highly recommend to go check it out! I can name a few places that have their branches: Pavilion KL, Midvalley, and the Gardens.

This time ’round, I went with my boyfriend (since he was still here) to the cafe/restaurant place. I usually go there for their parfaits (one with a little cake on it) and green tea latte (so much that the staff recognises me lol), but, this time we went there to try their actual food. They serve ala carte and sets which include a drink for a cheaper price I suppose (about RM21++/ USD 5.50++).

I do have to say, though, the prices there are a little pricey; however, it is worth the money. The food, even though I have only tried once, is, in fact, nothing special to me. But, it was a good delicious meal. I also usually order my green tea latte with whipped cream on the top, I’ll post the pic below!

The nicest thing about this green tea latte, it’s that, it’s not sweet. Well, sweet sweet, it’s more bitter and tastes like actual good quality green tea. That is why I absolutely love it so much! And, if you’re not into that (bitter/ green tea), don’t worry! There are plenty of other delicious desserts available for you in their cafe, such as *red bean flavoured drinks/ ice-cream, and black sesame flavoured desserts! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of their menu… Sorry!

*For those of you who don’t know what red bean is, it’s not an actual bean bean like kidney beans. It’s usually eaten as a dessert, so it’s sweet. I can’t really describe the flavour itself as it is very distinct, so I guess you’ll just have to try for yourself!

We also tried a different parfait, from the usual one we get. It is a mango one with coconut ice-cream! Overall, I do like it very much despite not eating too much of it. I’ve been feeling sick for a whole week, but now, I’m finally feeling much much better! So I’ll post more soon!

  1. I love things that aren’t too sweet. Desserts here in the U.S. are WAY too sweet to even eat, usually. Plus, I love the green tea desserts–I see that a lot on Cupcake Wars and the Great British Baking Show! Wonderful post!
