DIY Vanilla Sugar Body Scrub

A little something I decided to try…

Hello cutiepies!

So, last week I decided to make my mum and my friends some sugar body scrub. At first, I wanted to make a coffee scrub… But sadly, I couldn’t find anywhere that sold coffee grounds. It’s not really common here I suppose. Anyway, as an alternative, I decided to make a vanilla scented body scrub.

Although it didn’t turn out smelling as nice as I wanted it to (I blame the vanilla extract I bought; it wasn’t too good of a brand). But it smells sweet overall and has  a lovely colour! I would say that this body scrub feels pretty oily on your body (due to the olive oil) until you wash it off. It moisturises pretty well.

I also placed them in cute little containers and add some tags which make them super cute! I’ll leave the things I used and how I make them.

Here are the ingredients I used:

1/2 cup of granulated sugar (for a better exfoliator use rough sugar)
1/3 cup of olive oil/ avocado oil/ coconut oil
1/4 cup of sea salt
1 tbsp of vanilla extract/ vanilla essential oil (depending on how much you want it to smell like)
food colouring of your choice (I used very little pink)

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl
  2. Place them in your containers

These were so simple to make and they are absolutely cute gifts! Comment a picture or tag me on it on Instagram if anyone ever makes this.

Cheers,
Sylvia
